Kraut Lab provides a hands on opportunity for participants to discover beneficial bacteria and reclaim means of food preservation that exists outside of corporate production. Inspired by performative art and the ready-mades of Duchamp and Man Ray, Kraut Lab seeks to connect participants to their ancestral roots while elevating the mundane through proximal relationship to the surrounding environment and relationship within the institutional setting.
